My name is Natalie and I find myself in a perpetual state of discontent. I write badly, act rashly, and try my best at 7 out of 10 things I do. I’m a social libertarian with no concrete economic views. It is my goal to stop cursing entirely, although I likely won’t. One of my favorite words is schadenfreude and I have a severe dislike of social justice activism. Sometimes I write letters to incarcerated serial killers, and sometimes they write back. I own a violin named Chopin who wishes I could play as well as the composer he is named after. In the end, I’m a small-town goth, and recreational- and party-drug user who attends a nationally-ranked university where I study with a dual major in both German language and literature. I am not special, unique, or valuable because of the aesthetics I chose or the music I listen to.
